KAMPALA. The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) has joined communities and institutions worldwide in commemorating the International Day for People of African Descent, reaffirming the need to advance human rights, dignity, equality and justice for people of African descent.
The commemoration, observed on August 31, provides an opportunity to reflect on the shared history, identity and aspirations of African people while highlighting the role of young people in building a more inclusive and equitable future.
